Pakistan Army Chief says Relationship with U.S. is "Over" [But Still Wants U.S. Aid]

$20 billion in aid to Pakistan and what has it gotten us?   How much worse could the relationship be if we weren’t helping to fund terrorism in Pakistan?  Wouldn’t it be better to DEFUND them?

Why is the mainstream media not asking and asking and asking about our continued “relationship” with this terror-incubator?   Save the money.  Bomb Pakistan back to the Stone Age for its funding and sponsorship of exported terror.  Go home.

ISLAMABAD:   “Pakistan’s army chief says billions of dollars in US aid meant for the military’s fight against militants should be diverted to bolster the economy and help ordinary Pakistanis.

The announcement could be seen as a snub to the US and an attempt to bolster the military’s popularity following the American raid that killed Osama bin Laden.

Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani reiterated that the army has ceased its training relationship with the US and has restricted the scope of intelligence sharing.

He also said American drone attacks are unacceptable and declined US calls for an operation in the militant-infested North Waziristan tribal area.

Kayani’s positions were outlined in an unusually detailed statement issued Thursday after a meeting with his top commanders.”

Just a brief review of the U.S. Pakistan relationship:

U.S. AID funding since 2002 to Pakistan totals $7.5 BILLION.

A GAO report in 2008 showed at least $2 BILLION in aid was unaccounted for by the Pakistanis.

It was later documented that Pakistan’s intelligence service, ISI was significantly funding Al Qaeda and Taliban.

Yet, another $2 billion was approved by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Obama last fall, after explicit assurances from the Pakistanis that they had NO IDEA where bin Laden was.

We should take those billions and given them to India.

At least we know where the Indians stand on the terrorism issue.

I think that Pakistan is largely responsible for the morass in Afganistan, through its support and funding of the Taliban and Al Queda slements. It is in Pakistan's interest to keep Afganistan unstable, and our efforts there will never succeed because of it.

Pakistan is certainly trying to keep Afghanistan unstable. This instability in Afghanistan meets two objectives of pakistan :

    1. American aid : the fighting-terrorism-story is exactly to serve this purpose.

    2. Keeping world's attention away from pakistani terrorism. Every large islamic terrorism attack any where in the world, except ME, has its links with pakistan.

pakistan wants a puppet Afghanistan government, which will dance to the tune of pakistan's rulers.
